Quarter 1 is a critical time for preparation, especially with Tax Day approaching.
Here are 5 important things you should do in Q1 to get ahead:
Organize Your Financial Documents – Gather receipts, income records, and expense summaries for accurate filing.
Book Your Tax Appointment – Don’t wait until the last minute. Secure a time with your tax preparer now.
Send Out 1099s and W-2s – These are due to recipients by January 31.
Review Your Estimated Tax Payments – Make sure your 2024 estimated tax payments were sufficient and prepare for your first 2025 payment in April.
Schedule a Compliance Check – Stay in good standing with the IRS and your state by ensuring all your filings are current.
